Michael is the Managing Partner at GVM. Previously he was SVP, Head of Publishing at Group FMG where he was responsible for business development and consultative services. Michael has held senior executive positions at companies within the publishing industry including American Media, Inc. and Hachette Filipacchi Media US. Michael earned a BS in Graphic Communications Management and Technology from New York University and an MBA from Adelphi University. In 2010 he earned his Doctorate degree in International Business Management from Pace University where he currently teaches business strategy.
Tom is an advisor at GVM and consults on print and digital media operations. Tom also runs the New York office of MediaPlus a Hong Kong media concern covering medical tourism through Global Health & Travel in print, digital and events. Previously he was SVP consumer marketing and manufacturing at Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. where he brought innovation to Hachette’s consumer marketing, manufacturing and production systems. He has experience blending technology, workflows and organizations into efficient multi-platform content systems. Prior to HFM Tom was based in Hong Kong as VP managing director for Business Week Asia responsible for advertising and business development in the Asia-Pacific region. Tom was also VP / worldwide circulation for Business Week based in New York City where he handled consumer marketing for North America, Europe and Asia. Tom began his career at Newsweek. Tom holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
